Repost

I posted this poem a long time ago, but I think it's appropriate for the state of mind I find myself in now more than ever.

Finish each day and be done with it.

You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities have
crept it;
forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day;
you shall begin it serenely and with
too high a spirit to be encumbered
with your old nonsense.

Back in New York!

And it feels good. The first thing I did? Grab a big glass of New York City tap water.

Stationary Row

In my London gym there isn't much equipment, but they do have row machines, which provides me with a fun way to break up the workout schedule. Yesterday, in between cramming for a midterm, I went to the gym for a quick workout that included 10 minutes on the row machine and weights. Today, my arms are feeling it!

In other news, I am officially on Spring Break. This means epic walks around the city, day trips to the suburbs, and lots of picture taking.

Unmotivated

Since coming to London I've been dealing with a severe lack of motivation on all fronts. Training wise, the intensity just isn't there. I'll force myself to put in the time on the bike or on foot, but I don't have that drive and desire to workout like I used to. On the school front, I just can't make myself focus. Procrastination has been dominating, barring a few intensive days before exams or due papers. It's frustrating because I know I should, and could, be more on the ball, but I simply can't force myself to that next level.

Suggestions/comments?

Quick Update

It's been tough keeping up with the blog here, mostly because I've been doing a fantastic job procrastinating lately. Training has been going pretty well -- lots of biking and running. Nutrition, on the other hand, is something to be desired. With all the pub food (and booze) here, it's tough to stay within my guidelines. A weekend trip to Paris for fantastic food and wine didn't help much either.
